Teatrul de Balet Sibiu
The Sibiu Ballet Theatre was founded in 2008, established with the corps de ballet of the Sibiu House of Culture – an institution subordinated to the Sibiu Local Council and to the Sibiu City Hall. In the year it was founded, SBT was operated with only ten dancers, today the SBT corps de ballet counts with no less than 40 members, coming from Romania, as well as from New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, France, Japan, Russia, Dominican Republic and Cuba. The Sibiu Ballet Theatre is the first ballet company in Romania that had an international corps de ballet, a model subsequently adopted by other Romanian ballet companies.
