American Academy of Ballet

The American Academy of Ballet (AAB) is a leading classical ballet school based in New York, held at Purchase College, State University of New York. Founded by renowned South African dancer and teacher Mignon Furman over 30 years ago, AAB offers multiple programs including Summer School, Performance Awards, Teacher Training, and Junior Program. The AAB Performance Awards program is performed annually by thousands of dancers in over 18 countries, with auditions held throughout the United States and in more than 15 countries including Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Canada, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Japan.
