Elmhurst Ballet School Year 7 Entry

Video submission required. Centre work (10 minutes maximum): battement tendus devant and a la seconde, 1st arabesque à terre de côté, sautés in 1st and 2nd position, balancé de côté or en avant/en arrière, 1 enchainement from corner (en diagonale) with gallops, spring point, step and hop, polka to both sides. Stretching: hamstrings, splits on both legs (en diagonal), box splits in second position, frog position, back arch. Contemporary: approx. 1 minute to music of choice. Uniform: Girls – sleeveless leotard, socks, soft ballet shoes; Boys – t-shirt or leotard, ballet shorts or footless tights, ballet shoes. No barre work required.
