Years 8-11 Entry

Video submission required. Centre work (10 minutes maximum): adage with développé devant, à la seconde, arabesque; pirouettes (single or double en dehors and en dedans); 3 allegro enchainements including sautés in 1st, 2nd, 4th positions, simple assemblé and jeté ordinaire, grand allegro with elevation. Pointe work (girls only if taught): rises and relevé in 1st and 2nd position for year 8; relevé in 5th, échappé relevé, relevé devant and derrière. Tour en l'air (boys only if taught): single or double, right and left. Stretching: hamstrings, splits on both legs, box splits, frog position, back arch. Contemporary: approx. 1 minute to music of choice. Uniform: Girls – sleeveless leotard, ballet tights, ballet shoes; Boys – tights, t-shirt or leotard, ballet shoes. Film from home with smartphone or camera; whole body in frame; safe environment required.
