History
Codarts was established in its current form in 2000, bringing together the Rotterdam Conservatory and the Rotterdam Dance Academy. Its origins date back to the 1930s, when the Rotterdam Dance Academy was founded by dance pioneer Corrie Hartong. Today, Codarts is internationally recognized as one of Europe's leading performing arts universities, welcoming students from more than 50 countries.
