Copenhagen Contemporary Dance School (CCDS) is an international professional dance institution based in Copenhagen, Denmark. The school prepares dancers for careers in contemporary dance through intensive technical training, artistic development, performance experience, personal coaching and career guidance. Students work in an international environment with a strong focus on becoming independent, versatile and sustainable dance artists.
History
Founded in 2005 by choreographer Lotte Sigh and dancer Morten Innstrand, Copenhagen Contemporary Dance School was established to educate highly skilled contemporary dance artists ready for professional careers. Since its founding, CCDS has built an international reputation through its strong emphasis on technical excellence, artistic individuality, career development and close connections with the professional dance industry. The school is based at GAME Streetmekka in Copenhagen and collaborates with international companies, choreographers and festivals.
